Sold My Own

Sold my own, your soul for my throne — a wasted name, a memory without a frame. You should’ve known, I’m building up a storm, and its rain burns more than my growing flames.

Close your eyes, you’re all alone and there’s a war within my walls. The cause is gone, this is the last call.

I’ll sell your blood for blood. I’ll treat you with a good time. Fighting for a breath of air as you’re falling for the climb. You’ll lose at my winning game and I’ll fall for your desperate cries.

Hold onto your bones, you’re just a picture I’ve drawn — nothing to tame, a wanderer without an aim, who tries in vain to escape my pleasurable pain but I’m carved into you like words on a stone.

I’ll sell your blood for blood. I’ll treat you with a good time. Fighting for a breath of air as you’re falling for the climb. You’ll lose at my winning game and I’ll fall for your desperate cries.

Close your eyes, you’re all alone and I’m vicious and cruel. You’ll see now what you haven’t seen before.

Love, Alyazya

    1. That’s what I was going for. My feelings back then were intense. The original text was actually overwhelming and difficult to understand outside of the context it was written in. I tried to simplify it without losing its intensity so people can get the most out of it.

    2. Personal preferences but I might not agree with you there. Did you wrote that particular post to sort your feelings or the reader’s? I’m pretty sure it’s the first one. Write for your sake. If we, as readers, care enough, we’ll figure out your words. Do not worry or oversimply for us.

    3. I do write for myself but I like to take into account the readers. One of the reasons that I started a blog was because I wanted to give people something they can relate to. It makes me very happy to see that I’m not alone in my thoughts so I don’t mind. Maybe, one day I’ll publish something as it is.

  1. Pretty dark and intense. But I loved the way you played with the words. Honestly I don’t know in what sense but this made me feel something raw and emotionally relatable in some form. This is a powerful piece. Keep at it. Cheers!
